Mon Oct. 2 studio: Assign Groups As a group, share color analysis studies to identify commonalities in color observation and familiarity in compositional strategies. And discussion of motion. Pulling commonalities from each group member, narrow down color selection and movement to do initial ideation compositions that will be then transitioned to a design to be moved by the body. During class, complete 6 ideation sketches Before next class: Take those six ideation sketches and transform each into a sculpture to be moved by the body or bodies. Wed Oct. 4 studio: Sketches and ideations due before class. In class, each member will share ideations. Mon Oct 9 studio: Share initial prototype work with group, make decisions about what works and what does not work. Prepare to pitch idea to class and guest on Wed. Anna will not be at this class (university event), a sub will be filling in and Lauren will come for two hours of class to help out. Treat this class as an opportunity to meet with your group, share progress, and work time to continue development on prototype. Before next class: Wed Oct 11 studio: Prototype materials documented and due to Cybox before class today. Each group will share idea with the full group for feecback. After critique, begin building.
