Harold Cohen and AARON: Histories of AI in Art

Harold Cohen was a pioneer in creating computational art and using AI to make artwork throughout 1960s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. He created paintings by using a custom written computer program to generate imagery and then sent the drawing to a 'turtle' (a small driving robot with a marker) to execute the drawing.
