This course will provide an overview of American political, economic, military, social, and cultural history since Reconstruction. This course will lay the foundation for advanced study. Since this is a survey course, the extent of the information covered will vary, but there will be a particular focus to socio-cultural themes throughout the semester. Through lectures and discussions, you will have the opportunity to synthesize historical material, evaluate primary and secondary documents, and critic, question, and debate major themes in U.S. history.
