Chapter 2 Class Discussion

• Your group will be assigned one of the three conflicts in the Constitutional Convention:

− Large states vs. small states
− National interests vs. state interests
− Northern states vs. southern states

• In your groups, identify the ideal outcomes for each side of the conflict
and why they want that outcome. Explain what the modern political
government might look like if either side won the argument.
