Checklist for the conclusion of Module 3: Place Project
DUE THURS DEC 7 10:59 AM
Prepare & Print Artist Statement/Project Narrative: Before class on Thursday, please print a letter-size copy of your artist statement to display next to your work. The statement should include your name, and if applicable a title to your project / theme. You have already created a project proposal narrative that would be a great source for this statement / narrative. Even if your initial concepts have changed, you can discuss the evolution and process.
What is an Artist Statement? A piece of writing by you that helps the viewer access or understand your design work, even if you are not present to explain. Written in the first person, it can include artistic influences, your process, formal qualities, an origin story, or a quote that connects your work for context.
SCHEDULE:
11-11:20 Install / Set up time
11:30-12:30 Assigned Group Critiques
12:30-12:45 break
1:00-2:00 Class Mini Q&A
NOTE: There will not be time during class to prepare for final reviews--if your work is not ready before 11 am, it will not be included in the review and therefore will be reflected in the final grade. Working as designers means meeting deadlines and achieving project goals including presentation.
